People were starting to turn to social media for their news, especially Facebook. So, we launched a series of videos on youtube & facebook that mimicked news reports, and got people curious about Tums.
*Instagram was super young at the time, and though Tums wasn’t ready to unleash it on the world… We created a handle for our bacon character with the plan to antagonize users in comment sections, ultimately leading them back to the Tums handle.
Then we turned up the 🔥, releasing numerous spots across TV and social media humorously showing people that with Tums, you can fight back and conquer the foods that antagonize you.
